In My Next 30 Years...

I turned 30 on August 24th. It's funny how age is so relative. I once thought 30 seemed so old, but it sure doesn't feel that way. I guess it's a milestone though, and with that always seems to come comtemplations. Things I want to accomplish, places I want to visit, people I want to meet. I can't wait for the next 30 years. I'm going to work to make them even better than the past 30 years. And I'd like to start chronicling them.

So, where am I starting? I have a great life, I am blessed in so many ways. I'm married to a wonderful man. We have a great home that we renovated ourselves and our family got a little bigger this year with the addition of a puppy. I have a job I love, that challenges me and gives me the opportunity to grow, as a consultant. My husband has a job that he tolerates in IT, he doesn't love it, but he's not exactly sure what he wants to do. We are paid well and are able to live a comfortable lifestyle. Our families are near by, my parents and brother and my husband's parents, 3 sisters and husbands and 7 nieces and nephews. We're close to our families and they support us completely. We have good friends close by and lots spread around the country. We love to travel and cook and get to do those things often.

I try not to take all the good things in my life for granted. I'm really grateful for all the people and things in my life. But, there's still more I want...a fulfilling way to give back to the community, to lose 20 pounds and be healthier, to see my friends more often, to be a better wife. And someday, probably a few years down the road, to be a wonderful mother. It's all a process and I plan to write about it here.

Here goes...

Very exciting... I get so upset that I can't keep up with all my friends as well as I would like and now, with your blog I am one step closer to know what's going on in the Dermoushegian household!
